About

Founded by Rebecca Rose in 2016, The Silver Library is a London-based creative consultancy specialising in lifestyle brands.

Rebecca has over 15 years of experience in the luxury sector as an entrepreneur in online retail and is a contributor for the Financial Times How to Spend It. She is a regular speaker at industry events and e-commerce conferences, and was a judge at the 2015 Online Retail Awards in London.

‘I work with a carefully selected group of photographers, stylists, graphic designers, illustrators and event coordinators to design powerful campaigns that deliver results. Together we can develop your brand’s story and identity in a way that is consistent with your goals as a business’.

Since 2015 Rebecca has been involved with UK charity Smart Works, volunteering as a one-to-one career coach. Smart Works exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. This involves dressing and training unemployed women for success at their job interview. All the clothes in the Smart Works wardrobe are donated from individuals or retailers – to find out how to donate office-appropriate clothing to this excellent charity, please click here.

‘Over the years I have interviewed many candidates for positions either within my own company, or on behalf of another brand or organisation looking to fulfil a specialist role. I wanted to put this experience to good use and when I met Smart Works CEO Kate Stephens in 2015, she invited me to join their volunteer coaching team. It has been a real privilege to work with such fantastic women and see the community expand – last year Smart Works helped over 8,000 marginalised women break the cycle of rejection and deprivation that results from unemployment’ – Rebecca

Testimonials

speech-top
  • I initially contacted Rebecca for some help and research around a TV show I was working on for Channel 4. Rebecca was incredibly helpful and incredibly formative - so much so that I went back to her many more times for advice and an academic approach to luxury brands as quite frankly, she was better than Google! If you are looking for someone who is truly helpful and has encyclopaedic knowledge then Rebecca is your woman.

  • Drawing on her experience as a successful online retailer, Rebecca is ideally placed to help brands realise their full potential. From creative events to attention-grabbing content, Rebecca pairs an eye for detail with a wider strategic vision: two elements which are essential to succeed in the increasingly fast-paced world of digital commerce.

  • Rebecca’s forte lies in her distinctive creative vision and attention to detail regarding the look and feel of a campaign. Combine this with her ability to pull together the perfect team of photographers, stylists and  and she creates something quite extraordinary. The Silver Library has an unrivalled little black book of contacts and I can always count on Rebecca to use her experience to select the right team for the right concept.
